Eastern Christian School welcomes Stacie Bradley as third grade teacher. Stacie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Houghton College and a master’s in teaching childhood education from Western Governors University. Previously, she taught at a Christian school in Boston.

A very recent transplant to New Jersey, she grew up in update New York and is looking forward to finding a home church in New Jersey.

Please tell us about yourself.

I moved from Boston to New Jersey in August 2024 and live with two cats: Gershwin and Brahms. I’m excited to live closer to my sister, who also teaches at EC, and am passionate about helping students grow in their love of learning, as well as in their role as image-bearers of God’s redeeming love to others. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, crafting and exploring bakeries.

I also enjoy learning and trying new things, especially if I can “dive deep” into a new topic, and I love discovering new interests!

Tell the story of how you got to EC?

When I completed my undergraduate studies, I left Houghton College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minors in music and theology. The decision of “the right” career path was not clear at that point, even though I had discovered an interest in understanding psychological development.

As I prayed over options for graduate programs, I felt the Lord calling me to use the foundation I had set in my psychology experience to support young learners. While working for a few years in daycare, I went about earning a master’s degree and a teaching license. 然后, I spent four years teaching at a Christian elementary school in the heart of Boston while developing valuable professional skills to help me better support my students. Now I am excited to live a bit closer to family, and significantly closer to my sister (and best friend) who also works at EC! I look forward to seeing the ways God will use me in the EC community.

What sets EC apart?

The school’s clear vision and mission to support students spiritually…At the same time, intentional practice is put into developing the academic skills necessary to equip students for any path that the Lord could lead them. It seems rare today to find an educational body that stretches all the way from the start of school through grade 12 and succeeds at supporting both the academic and spiritual development of its scholars.

See what a Christ-centered education looks like for your child.
